Representative of the People's Power of Ahn Cheol Soo criticized on the 14th that the government's "Youth Future Housing Theory" is a measure that ignores the preference of apartments and the demand for housing movement among young people, adding, "It is a desecration of young people who have treated the mind of 2030 too lightly."

Lawmaker Ahn said on his social network service (SNS) on the 14th, "The Lee Jae Myung government announced the August 13 supply measures," and added, "Just in case, the loan limit, reconstruction public contribution, floor area ratio, and altitude limit were not touched at all."

Among the measures, Ahn cited non-apartment loans for young people (youth future housing) as the biggest problem. If households in their 20s and 30s purchase villas and officetels worth less than 400 million won, they will support low-interest loans with an LTV ratio of 80%.

"If the monthly rent in the metropolitan area is burdened, the intention is to borrow it with that money and live in a non-apartment for 20-30 years," he said. "This is an idea that ignores the concerns of 2030."

It was also based on the high preference for apartments among young people. Lawmaker Ahn cited data from the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements in March, saying, "79.7% of 2030 picked apartments as their preferred housing, and only 4.5% of young people are non-apartment owners."

"Because of reality, 2030 is living in villas or officetels, but they plan to move to apartments when their income accumulates in consideration of living conditions, exchangeability, and asset value," he said. "But the Lee administration pushed for loans to live in non-apartments for '30 years for 850,000 won a month."

"I'm not rejecting villas or officetels," he said. "Even if I live there, I'm asking you to put a ladder to move to the apartment, but I'm telling you to stay here only after putting the guard on the bottom."

Additional costs for purchasing non-apartments were also a problem. Lawmaker Ahn said, "The idea of saving monthly rent if you buy a non-apartment is also single-celled," adding, "Will the government pay additional taxes such as acquisition tax, property tax, and health insurance premiums that the owner will pay for?"

Lawmaker Ahn said, "Buying a house is a life decision and a bigger thing for young people," adding, "The government seems to make policies without even referring to public reports."
