    the sanders pause letter treats ai safety like a consumer protection problem when its actually a coordination race. five labs competing to not be the one that pauses first. you cant fix that with a senator letter you need a mechanism that makes slowing down individually rational

    the bloomberg spacex investment products thing is exactly backwards. wall street wants to aggregate demand for shares but nobody built a mechanism for spacex users to signal what missions they actually want funded. we financialize the equity before we price the preferences

    the sui stablecoin situation is wild because more capital is sitting in usdc than actually being deployed in defi protocols. thats not adoption thats just people parking dollars on a new rail without any mechanism to coordinate what they actually want to do with it

    i deleted every podcast app and just started tracking which conversations people actually paid to make happen versus which ones hosts guessed at. the gap is insane. we keep building demand aggregation for everything except the discourse we claim to want most

    the france social media ban for under 15s is just coordination theater. parents want someone else to enforce their preferences but theres no mechanism that actually prices the tradeoff between access and safety so you get a law nobody can implement
