Well, if true, this is interesting.
Adding to the trend we now see with the Blade movie & Wonder Man Season 2 cancellations, the failed promotion of shows like Ironheart, Eyes of Wakanda, & Sam Wilson's "second fiddle" run as Captain America (in his own movie), we have another instance from Disney/Marvel where Black characters, who are poised to be front & center, are significantly reduced or cut altogether

Patterns be patterning & the pieces of the puzzle are coming together. I'm in no way of support of Beau DeMayo IF what he allegedly did during the production of season one of X-Men 97 is true, but I believe those gears were already turning from the higher ups & they used that as a perfect storm to do what they always intended...scrap any further potentially influential Black roles.

A strong start, but the stakes felt higher with Bastion in Season 1 & the payoff executed better than the world-ending scenario that Apocalypse's name suggests yet failed to deliver
Awesome origin story & a few great scenes aside, Apocalypse felt like a much larger threat in the OG series' Beyond Good and Evil saga than he was throughout the entirety of X-Men 97 Season 2
I think the rewrites only amplified the compressed nature of this series & the cracks are showing. Rating: 7.5/10
