"We need a new liberation that will take the Republic of Korea to the next level, as we have lit up the light of liberation, industrialization, and democratization. We must move toward an irreplaceable Republic of Korea that no country can replace."

President Lee Jae Myung made the remarks in his 81st anniversary celebration speech at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul on the 15th, the National Liberation Day.

President Lee said in his congratulatory speech for the Liberation Day, "The Republic of Korea is now on the verge of a watershed, whether it will be swept away by high waves and wrecked or leap to a leader who enjoys infinite opportunities," adding, "Our people have advanced toward a better tomorrow at every moment of crisis." "From a country ruled by military dictatorship to an exemplary democratic country that defeated even civil war," he said.

He added, "The curved modern history is asking us today, 'What kind of light will the Republic of Korea shine on the future?' "In the face of the great literary transformation and the cataclysm of the international order, we must create possibilities instead of counting the impossible," he said. "It should be a country that the world needs, a country that all countries want to cooperate."

To this end, President Lee said, "We will completely reallocate the resources and capabilities of the Republic of Korea and redraw the growth map. We will expand Korea's growth base to the entire country, he said. "Like our ancestors, who created the Republic of Korea by selling rice fields and studying their children, we will increase the growth potential through active investment and return the fruits to the people evenly."

"When the achievements of innovation and opportunities for future growth spread evenly everywhere, our bold vision will warm up every corner of the people's lives and cultivate the courage of new challenges," he explained.

In particular, President Lee promised, "We will lay a thick ladder of opportunities throughout the entire life cycle so that young people who take the first step into society can stand up at any time without being frustrated with failure."

"The progress made by the industrial forces became the soil of the innovative industry ecosystem, and the democracy won by the sovereigns became the basis for infinite creativity and challenges," President Lee said, adding, "It is a difficult and difficult task, but just as the fierce past caused today's Republic of Korea, today's Koreans will open up a new future for the Republic of Korea."

It also promised special treatment for independence fighters.

Citing the phrase "Holy stories about discussing the sun always originated only in places with their backs against the sun," President Lee said, "I bow down to the martyrs who burned their lives with one mind and express my respect and gratitude."

To properly honor its noble spirit, we will further honor surviving patriots and independence fighters and expand the discovery and reward of independence activists, he explained.

Furthermore, President Lee said, "As the Pro-Japanese Property Retribution Act was promulgated on June 2, we will investigate and return the assets unfairly accumulated by pro-Japanese anti-national actors to hold them accountable for history."
