Change getOrDefault to return a primitive long instead of Long to match the underlying settings.getOrDefault return type. This eliminates unnecessary boxing and reduces potential performance overhead while preserving existing behavior.

@normanmaurer WebTransport is currently in IETF WG Last Call, and no major protocol changes are expected at this stage. Would the Netty project be interested in exploring WebTransport support? We have been working on an incubator implementation based on draft-15: https://github.com/webtransport4j/webtransport4j/tree/draft15 We're willing to contribute and help drive the implementation. Could you please provide some guidance on how features like this are typically introduced into Netty? For example, would an incubator module be the preferred path, and what level of protocol maturity is usually expected before considering inclusion? |

@sanjomo I think an incubator module would be good... Usually we include protocols once their RFC is considered stable and when they are used often. |

…16927) (#16944) **Motivation** While working on the WebTransport implementation, I found it useful to have a helper method for retrieving HTTP/3 settings with a fallback value when a setting identifier is not present. **Modification** * Added a `getOrDefault(...)` method to `Http3Settings`. * The method returns the configured value for a setting identifier or the provided default value if the identifier is not present. * Refactoring some deprecated methods **Result** * Simplifies retrieval of optional HTTP/3 settings from a cleaner abstraction. * Returns a default value when the requested setting identifier is absent. **Testing** * Added unit tests covering both existing and missing setting identifiers. Motivation
While working on the WebTransport implementation, I found it useful to have a helper method for retrieving HTTP/3 settings with a fallback value when a setting identifier is not present.
