Action Plan Update

On February 19, 2026 the Governing Board adopted an updated Action Plan, and the Commission is now waiting for approval from U.S. EPA. Please consider subscribing to our email list or attending our upcoming meetings to stay up to date.

Written Comment Period Open

The written comment period for the draft Fiscal Year 2027 Work Plan is from March 17-March 27. Please submit comments to SMBRC@waterboards.ca.gov.

Proposition 50


Proposition 50 (the Water Security, Clean Drinking Water, Coastal and Beach Protection Act of 2002) funds statewide water supply and quality programs. In 2021, the Commission recommended six projects for $3.2 million in funding to monitor habitats and improve water quality in the Bay and its watersheds.
