Confirming your age on Facebook

We require people to be at least 13 years old to sign up for Facebook. In some regions, you may be required to confirm your age to continue using your account. You can confirm your age by providing your birthday, photo identification, and/or submitting a video selfie. If you need to confirm your age on Facebook, you’ll be asked for additional information to help us verify your age.

The information provided in each age verification option is used to confirm your age and won’t be visible on your profile, to friends or other people on Facebook.
