    (1/4) #Lala will strengthen and become a hurricane as it approaches the Big Island on Saturday, and is expected to track south of the smaller islands on Sunday. Conditions will rapidly deteriorate on the Big Island by Saturday, so preparations must be rushed to completion today.
    At 800 AM HST (1800 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Lala was
located near latitude 17.0 North, longitude 150.3 West. Lala is
moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h). This
general motion is expected to continue, taking the core of Lala
near the Big Island of Hawaii on Saturday and then south of the
smaller islands on Sunday.
