Smooth transition disabled and still very very smooth #1895

Describe the bug

I disabled "smooth transitions" and the transition still takes multiple seconds on my external display.

Note that I indeed see a change in transitions when touching brightness of the internal monitor (the smooth one being waaay faster on the internal monitor than on the external one).

Steps to reproduce

1. Configure the app as in this screenshot:

2. Opening the app
3. Clicking on the transition bar on the other side of the current brightness on the external monitor

Expected behavior

Should jump to the selected brightness
