Note: all applications presented here are designed natively in their respective programming or scripting languages, without libraries or external files. Thus, the applications have no dependencies and can be used offline. There are about 100 posts uploaded here, however, below are some useful projects that I have chosen to show as a preview:
Original software projects developed during the early years of Windows programming and preserved together with their source code, executables, interfaces, documentation and distribution materials. These repositories document both the applications themselves and the programming techniques, visual styles and software-distribution practices of their period.
Delta Memory Force 2.0 is a real-time Windows system utility for RAM optimization, CPU monitoring, process inspection and control, disk-space analysis, and automated memory recovery. Designed for Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, and 2000, it features dynamically generated charts, LEDs, VU-style indicators, System Tray monitoring, configurable optimization rules, and a proprietary trial-key licensing system. This repository preserves the complete software archive, including all versions, source code, installation kits, licensing tools, original interface assets, documentation, CD images.
DMF is one of several projects preserved in this historical software collection. Taken together, these archives are also snapshots of how software was imagined and built at the time: interfaces drawn almost pixel by pixel, custom controls, hand-built charts, compact algorithms, unusual licensing mechanisms, and complete CD-based distribution kits. Beyond their original functions, they preserve the visual language, technical constraints, and practical ingenuity of an earlier period of personal computing.
The PC World Romania CD Interface Archive preserves the software environment I designed and programmed for the magazine's companion CDs between October 2004 and September 2005. During this one year period, the project grew from a custom Visual Basic 6.0 CD launcher into a complete monthly production system used across 16 physical PC World CDs. The interface organized the software distributed with each issue, displayed descriptions and captures, handled installation, execution and copying of programs, presented magazine and Help content, and later incorporated Internet browsing and several network utilities.
The archive preserves much more than the visible interface. It includes the original VB6 source code, monthly production trees, graphical assets, HTML content, configuration files, bootstrap and recovery programs, and the dedicated Generare Matrita application used to assemble the structure of each new CD edition. These materials document both what the reader saw when the disc was inserted and the production system behind it, preserving a complete example of early 2000s magazine based software distribution and Windows application development.

Mini AVI CD is a multimedia application developed in the early 2000s for the simple playback of AVI files distributed on CDs. It features a compact interface typical of Windows software from that period and was designed to start quickly without installation or complex configuration. Today, the project is preserved as historical software and has been adapted to run on modern versions of Windows while retaining its original appearance and behavior.
Applied Genetics 1.2 is a Visual Basic 6.0 desktop application I developed for interactive analysis and visualization of DNA and RNA sequences. The program combines sequence editing with restriction enzyme analysis, codon translation, repeat and inverse sequence detection, primer calculations, graphical annotation and a simplified electrophoresis gel representation. Its main idea was to keep analytical results connected to their exact positions in the original nucleotide sequence, so detected structures could be viewed simultaneously in the editor, sequence map and graphical output rather than only as isolated textual results.
The repository preserves the original Windows XP era source code, the Romanian and English editions restored for Windows 11, the restriction enzyme database, project and report formats, custom graphical controls, the historical 30 run trial and activation system, file association utilities, and the original physical CD distribution interface and artwork. With roughly 38,600 lines of VB6 source code, it documents both an early bioinformatics application and the software engineering methods used to build and distribute scientific desktop software during that period.
